Each case below is one patient, photographed in the chair before treatment and again at the end (one is still in progress, and says so). Drag across any photograph to compare. Next to each one: what we saw, what we did, and the service it falls under. All are treated by Dr. Angela.

01
Orthodontics
A rotated front tooth and a crowded lower arch

What we sawOne upper front tooth turned and pushed forward out of the arch. The lower front teeth were crowded and overlapping, and the bite did not meet evenly.
What we didOrthodontic treatment to bring both arches into a smooth, even curve. Once the teeth were in place, a thin fixed retainer was bonded behind the lower front teeth. It is the fine wire you can see in the lower after photograph, and it holds the result.

Orthodontics
Crowding in both arches, and a bite that didn't meet

What we sawThe upper front teeth sat forward and the upper arch was narrow. One upper side tooth was biting behind the lower teeth, and the lower front teeth were crowded.
What we didOrthodontic treatment to widen the upper arch into a rounded curve, bring the upper teeth back over the lower ones, and straighten the lower front teeth. The bite now closes evenly from side to side.

Orthodontics
Crowded upper front teeth, lined up

What we sawThe upper front teeth were overlapping and out of line, which makes them harder to keep clean and shows in the smile.
What we didOrthodontic alignment to bring the six front teeth into an even curve. The back teeth, and the existing fillings, were left as they were.

Alignment & shade
Straighter, and one shade throughout

What we sawThe front teeth were crowded and uneven at the edges, and the shade varied from tooth to tooth.
What we didThe teeth were brought into line, and the edges and shade were evened out across the smile.

Orthodontics, then an implant · In progress
Making the right space for an implant

Illustrative simulationWhat we sawA tooth lost at a young age. Over the years the neighbouring and opposing teeth drifted into the gap, and the front teeth became severely crowded.
What we didOrthodontic treatment first, to align the teeth, improve the bite and open up room for an implant. That lets the implant and crown sit in the right position, sharing chewing forces evenly for long-term function. The third image is a simulation of the plan, not a finished result.
